People watch romance movies for escapism as it offers them the chance to escape from reality and feel as if they are part of the movie. Romance movies also make some people emotional so that they watch the movie to feel emotional. People also watch the movies as they want to relate to the things that happen in the movie and they also want to imagine that something like that could happen to them.
